Over a banana? May 7, 2008
Beth had a choice for breakfast today: banana or granola bar. After much hemming, hawing, and trying to request “butter bread” (code speak for peanut butter sandwich), she chose the banana. I start the peel for her, hand it to her, and off she goes. Ten minutes later, I’m feeding the baby and she hands me the bottom half of the banana, still in the peel; she’s holding the top half. She says, “It’s mama’s turn.” This means she wants me to eat the bottom half. *shrug* Okay!
That was 45 minutes ago. She still hasn’t eaten it. She refuses. And I’m holding my ground. She eats that banana before she gets anything else. I refuse to allow picky eating!!!! *stomps off to my room, slams door, and pouts*

good mommy!
Ps. the cartoon is exactly the same conversation I have with my doggy every day. Kohl is going to find himself at the pound if he doesn’t stop!
Is there a pound for kids?
…….just kidding.
a babysitter? now wait, I got it…school!
Not funny– I work at that “pound” and that is exactly what some parents treat it as
